yarn harloti know i am a century behind everyone else but i have just read the yarn harlot's book and also have meditations for women who knit too much ( i am thinking of writing a book called knitting for women who meditate too much)
they are both absolutely hilarious....my friend and i read them on holiday and we were lol every five minutes. all her anecdotes are so true i could relate to vitually all of them especially her stash stories. i now know it is ok to have stashes of all sorts of things and not actually be required to use things ....i feel liberated it is wonderful

I've read at Knits End and Knitting Rules and they're fab. And the new one, Cast Off, came today together with 'Best of Vogue KNitting'. They're both fab books and I've been flickign through both of them but havne't had time to start reading properly. But I'm reading Cast Off when I go to bed tonight. I may not get to sleep at all. Or I may try to save it to read on the plane when I go to Norway. If I start it now I will have finished by the time I leave.

I read to page 40 of Cast Off last night and laughed as I read some of it. I was exhausted when i went ot bed last night and freezing cold and aching all over. felt as if I was coming down iwth something. My new 'Spiralling socks' on my feet and a bit of Yarn Harlot to take my mind off things (and painkillers and sleeping tabs) I slept like a baby when I finally managed to put the book down.

she is very funny and what i like best is that it is like being in a secret club cos only people who knit or sew would really get it
