Yarn for Tulip

I've had a strange day today when I've thought about knitting all day and not much else Shocked

I was thinking about Tulip - I don't want to buy Damask to knit it, it's too expensive for what I want it for - and wondered whether good old Wendy Supreme Cotton DK would suffice? I frogged the lilac variegated sweater a few weeks ago, and though I could use the yarn to knit Tulip. It would be a fab top for school.

It knits to 22sts by 30rows to 10cm on 4mm needles so the tension is spot on.

And - Is the edging tricky? Shocked

Sounds just right Debs and the edging is dead easy - it just LOOKS hard. You just do exactly what it tells - turn the needle through 360 degreees and you get the twisted edging Wink

Sounds good to me too - although I gave up on first attempt I'm still tempted to try again when I've cleared some wips - I might use Jaeger Trinity or some Colinette Banyan (which started off as Ariadne and got frogged) Laughing
