Yarn for thermal?Well, I tried for the third consecutive Wollmeise update to get some suitable yarn to knit thermal and it's all gone crazy. Tonight 3 different colour selections I put in my basket were swiped as I tried to pay. Far too stressful, so I've given up on the desire for more wollmeise - does anyone have suggestions what I can use instead?
I can't afford to splash out too much, and bearing in mind I find opal, regia, pure wool, angora, mohair etc etc too scratchy/sneezy ( ) I'm thinking along the lines of some merino 4ply. However I can't find anything I like.
Help is needed!!

James V Brett merino is good.
About £2.50 a 50g ball.

thanks, I'll have a look for some of that then.
I did manage to nab some wollmeise, but again I think it's too variagated for the thermal pattern, so I'm thinking of using it for a tank top instead.

Forgot to post it is a dk yarn not 4ply. But makes lovely chunky socks.
The wollmeise will look great as a tank I think, I love the way the colours come out.

ah, no wonder I couldn't find any on ebay then. the DK does look lovely though, so I'm storing that away in my mind for a jumper for DS.
I was thinking a tank top from the colinette jitterbug book.

Have you seen this Rowan 4 ply Soft here on ebay? I have bought in the past from here and they are reliable.
