Will my cunning plan work?About 2 years ago I knitted a Twilleys wraparound cardi in Freedom Spirit.
I thought it was a bit short at the time but I put it on today and it is ridiculously short I havent worn it much what with being pregnant and b/fing
Anyway, I reckon the FS yarn will be a nightmare to frog and I dont think I can face that anyway. so i was wondering if I could knit a rib strip and somehow attach it to the bottom of the cardi to make it more wearable?
I could sew it on using some kind of grafting I hope
Does this sound feasible?
Thanks for any advice

What if you unpick the cast on edge so you have live stitches........ and then knit down over

You could pick up stitches around the lower edge and knit the rib downwards. Or knit a separate piece of rib and sew it on (I would just use mattress stitch as I use that for pretty much everything!).
I suspect there is a way of undoing a cast on edge and using the live stitches but I don't know for sure.

The only thing i thought about knitting downwards was wouldnt the stitches be the wrong way up?

I think it could work.
I did something similiar with my Tide Cardi - I knitted an extra Feather & Fan bit and slip stitched it on - It worked ok.

If you did a different stitch it wouldnt matter - or you could do a sideways knitted border and sew on.

No it won't be the wrong way up - you won't be able to tell. The cast on row is probably the easest to undo and knit from there. Unravelling from the top down is nigh on impossible to do
