I think that as we have got better, all of us, at the digital photography thing, the plainer blog templates which are more customisable become more fun.
When I was looking for new templates for the Club and the KAL blogs I was really surprised how easy it was to adapt them... and I've only done fairly minor stuff, added header photos and tweaked the sidebar to show a WIP pic on the Club one. I could have changed the colours at the sides and headers etc too (I think mine is called Rounder) if I had wanted to. The original classic ones were fun, but we are all better at it now, and a lot of that is down to the fact that the forum is here, and has encouraged us to try new things.
