Weekend spins.I am sorry to go on but can I show you what I made this weekend?! I love the green one best, the purples was fun to do too!
The green is such a big, squishy hank. I too the photo on 2 pieces of A4 paper.
The purple one is single ply and really twisty even though I set it!
(and does anyone know how I use Flickr to put photos on here as I just cant do it!) Thank you done that now!!

lovely handspun yarns Lin...they are both gorgeous, though I agree the green is fabbo!!
as for flickr photos I click on the all sizes icon above your linked piccy, selected small and then right clicked over it and selected image properties at the bottom of the drop down menu. Copied it and then you paste it into your post and put [img] [/img] at either side of the url....
see if it works now...
eta Lin your piccies are fabulous

Thank you!
With the spinning I decideed to do it for fun, had a disasterous attempt at making "serious" neat yarn in the week. I have found that it is so much nicer just to do what the fibre wants to do rather than trying to make it perfect!

Beautiful work Lin - I think the whole point of spinning is to make yarn that's allowed to express its character!

They are both gorgeous yarns. Having been to a Wingham Woolworks event yesterday and seen all the luscious fibre I can appreciate the yarn you have created even more.
What fibres have you used?

The purple one is single ply from batt "peacock" by Etsy seller Shunklies. Alpaca, tencel, angelina, lurex, mohair.
Lovely glittery bitts, great fun but not very well balanced!
The greeny one is from here http://www.etsy.com/shop.php?user_id=5019727 and is 7 WPI, 2 ply, 78 metres. From March Cuckoo batt club "cheaters garden". Wool, alpaca, bamboo silk.
I love it, so soft, not perfect but it doesn't need to be! It is based on the Iris flower and had purple and yellow bits in it just like it.
