UFO Busting-Along!Cathie asked: How many UFOs do you have? And some of us admitted to having UFOs that needed only a small amount of work doing to them to finish them off.
So here is a thread in which you can post your before and after piccies to show us what progress you've made!

Right I'm joining in on this one. Cos due to my current sock marathon, I seem to have a few languishing UFOs, and help is needed.
Top row:- DK cabled jacket for DD in green - help needed cos I can't decide whether to do a hood or the collar (collar would be quicker as less stitches to pick up ), 4ply tank top in February yarn yard sock club - oranges etc (just need to finish front and do the neck/arm borders), one catknit staghorn sock in mint green posh yarns lucia.
Bottom Row:- cabled gillet for me in kilcarra tweed aran (I have black foxy fur for the collar) and a colinette jitterbug parrot sock for DD.
Which should I finish first? (please don't say the cabled jacket for DD, as I'm too lazy to pick up the stitches and the acrylic yarn squeaks when I knit with it!!! )

OK, I won't say the cabled jacket...but that was the one I was thinking about
I was also thinking, make a collar rather than a hood...easier to wear as well as making the garment quicker to finish.

Sewing or finishing wise:
Debblie Bliss Pure Silk Tie Fronted Cardigan that I'm stuck at because I can't crochet to save my life!
Colinette Mardigras Giotto Jacket that just needs sewing up at the sides, one side is sewn but badly so I need to redo it.
A Colinette Jay Fandango cardigan for a child that needs sewing up, it is probably too small for the original child
Knitwise:
A silk scarf in Curious Yarns silk I received from my secret santa last year.
I'm also half way through the second sock for my 2 year old and have a second Monkey sock to do for me. I also have to finish a Clapotis for my Aunt before April.
BUT I want to knit socks!!!!!

Right, Heres my shameful pile It doesn't include everything either, just spotted 2 more things OTN as well a pair of shorts and a pair of longies, I think I have a problem Also not counting the stuff I threw up in the attic, a ASC jumper for me with only the sleeves to do, a my little pony jumper for DD, a fibre trends falling in love scarf and an ASC jumper for DS.
The top left had side is the back and half of the front of a jumper I started last week. Next to it is a pair of dungarees for DD I started making a month ago, then a cardigan for a newbaby just needs buttons, a flirty skirty that needs elastic and ends sewing in. The dress just needs the shoulder straps doing. then 3 garter stitch cardigans again needing sewing up and buttons. Next to that is my march socks, the blue knitting is a bab hat I started last night, despite having all the other things to do. Then there is a toddler sized sock, thats been on the needles so long I have lost the first one. Then the pile with ivory wool and rainbow is 5 ribby wraps that need buttons. Most of the stuff in this picture has been on the go for a good year!!
In my defense (though not much of one) I have finished off all these things 9 in total, 3 pairs of stripy longies, 3 pairs of shorts, one not pictured as it's soggy in the lanolin bucket, another pair of longies and a soaker.
Now where do I sign up for I can't finish anything annoumous

Well, I'm down to 4 now. Went to the place where I'd hidden my WIPs from the little darlings and found the green cabled cardigan for DD in shreds - literally and the pattern too.
oh well, it saves me one task. What I want to know is how they shred it then put it back?
Managed to salvage 200g of usuable yarn, so I may have to do something else instead, mind you I don't relish knitting with the creaking yarn again.

It would only take a couple of nights - sleeve shaping was a bt fiddly so keep putting it off - I am really pleased with how it looks though.

CJ - oh no - you do have two little demons there
I've also just remembered another UFO - I've started this in Sirdar Blur - only knitted about four inches so far...

yes, demons indeed. I'm sure they do it when I'm cooking the tea and distracted!!!
I agree with noo, go for the inka one, as I want to see it too

Or are you paying them to trash the one that squeaks?
I would.

I thought my 2 were bad, but it's only the house that takes a bashing, my knitting seems to be safe. I hope that doesn't change, CJ you must have the patience of a saint!!!

thanks.
Following on from the yarn demons, I decided I didn't like the cabling on the gillet I was knitting for myself, so I frogged that one before they could get to it.
So, now I'm down to 3 WIPs/UFOs - the yarn yard tank top, the front I can do tonight if not too sickly, the second catknit sock (maybe next month now as the kids both need more socks ) and the jitterbug mini socks.
I finished the first sock just now, so if I crack on with this, I can have it done very soon.

I managed to sew the bands on to the mohair cardi last night, set in the sleeves and sew up one side seam and sleeve seam.
The trouble is that I tried it on half sewed up and even now I don't think that I'll like it I think I look like a big furry teddy in it already. Not good.
This is what happens with a lot of my knitteds - I finish them and then I hate them on me, so Mum gets them. This is probably why I'm always reluctant to finish anything off. Grrr

Here is the before piccie of my raspberry mohair cardi:
I took the photo last night with the flash so it isn't a true reflection of the colour irl.
Maybe I'll have finished piccies tomorrow

My sunday update.
Well it was so quiet in the shop I thought the clock was going backwards, have finished my opal baby hat, I finished the back of my jumper and did half a sleeve, I also worked my shorts to the crotch but because I left my needles case at home I couldn't finish.
Can't seem to face all the button sewing and seaming at the moment, will do that tomorrow

Well I knit some more of the baby jitterbug sock. I'm on the straight before the toe of a 40 stitch sock so it will be finished by sleep time.
I was spring cleaning this weekend, so not much knitting done at all.

Well, I cast on for the second baby jitterbug sock too and am now halfway down the leg cuff. And I just finished the front of DD's tank top, so just got the armbands and neck to do on that one.

I finished the sewing up of the mohair cardi last night, and all it needs now are les boutons and it's done. Typically I have some lovely shell buttons in just the right colour for the cardi, but they're a touch too small, and bigger buttons will look better I feel.
'Hoorah!' for the internet cos I ordered them off of eBay last night, so they should be here soon.

Here is the next UFO that I plan to stitch together... the sleeves are already in the armholes so I only have the side seams and sleeve seams to sew. And sew the buttons on of course!
At this rate I can start throwing stuff away and start wearing my new knitteds!!
