Tweedy

I like Sirdar Donegal Tweed, now discontinued, and it is my ambition to buy up the remaining stock in the world!

Hello & welcome to the board. I'm sure I've 'spoken' to you already today Wink
SueBee

Yes Jo

You kindly replied to my message earlier in another site about the CPH - I think I'd need more of it as I am rather larger than your sylphlike figure!
Jo028

If you have a mooch around ebay, you'll probably find a few bags!
KnittingLadybird

Mavis-crafts still sell it I think...limited colours though!

Hello Ali and Jo

Hi Ali, thanks for the welcome. I am in Shutford. Currently working on a scarf in Hayfield Bamboo (lacy pattern whic is lacerating my fingers as yarn is rather 'sticky') and Urban Aran from Patons in Sirdar Click. Am trying to use up copious stash.

Jo - have found and bid for several batches of Donegal Tweed including 2 today from Canada! Well it's better than booze and fags isn't it? My husband collects motor racing books so is in no position to criticise. Only thing is, his tend to increase in value!

Yes I know about Mavis Crafts (great name eh?) Have cheekily made them an offer but not heard yet. They are asking £2.95 per ball and it does not sell well on ebay thought I'd push my luck. they are probably still reeling at my chutpah.

That lime is a nice colour Wink

I found some Donegal Tweed! Sirdar gave me the name of a shop that buys a lot of their discontinued yarns; Bobby Davison in Hartlepool. They are very helpful.

They had some SDT in grass green and a bit in Royal blue. Alas still looking for Slate Blue. The quest continues..............!
