Trying to contain my excitement!

So - after being a bit disappointed the other day - I'm now trying to contain my excitement. Haven't got a date yet (as Sarah is waiting for new stock to arrive) but I'm going to have half a day spinning tuition with her and then try out the different majacraft wheels and hopefully go home with one! I think this will work much better for me than going up to Woolfest and I'm hoping I'll learn enough to get me off on the right track. I'm not planning on preparing my own fleece (yet!) so Sarah reckons half a day should be plenty for an introduction.

Now - where are those books I ordered.

Hmmmm - and I'll be needing some fibre soon too. Hahahah.

Going to practice a bit more with my spindle now.

(I'm excited - can you tell!)

That sounds like a very good plan, then you will know what you like and what to do with it.
And yes, I am just a little bit envious (but then again, I haven't even been brave enough to try my spindle yet)

It's Abergavenny. It's a bit over 100 miles from us. We'll probably stay a night somewhere nearby.
CJ

oh well, that's out for me then, as it's over 4 hours drive and 161.5 miles according to the RAC.  I actually think wingham wool is closer, and milton keynes quicker.   Laughing  Rolling Eyes

That's a shame. I'll report back on how I get on anyway (obviously!).
CJ

Well, I checked wingham and it's definately nearer and quicker, but as I want to try lendrums, then it will have to be PM Woolcraft on the way to or back from my parents.   Laughing  Laughing

I bet you have great fun.  I might organise a lesson at Winghams, but it will mean staying with my in-laws.   Confused

How exciting!
Remember to get some extra bobbins.

And I'm only about 12 miles from P&M so if you wanted to stop by for a cuppa and some yarn fondling, give me a call to make sure I'm in! Wink
CJ

Gill, I hadn't realised you were so close, we're coming down in September for iknit, so hopefully we can drop in - unless you're at the show  Wink
Gill

I'll be at the show, but seriously, if you're ever coming down - you'd be more than welcome. And anyone else for that matter Laughing
CJ

thanks, Gill.  I will pop in next time, grumbling DH and kids permitting.   Laughing   we always stop for a break on the M40 anyway.   Rolling Eyes

And hopefully I'll see you at iKnit in the meantime, unless I can persuade my parents to have us sooner.   Twisted Evil
