Tonights crochet mission! Finished - with Photos!

I haven't done much crochet - but tonight I've decided I want to crochet a chapstick cozy Rolling Eyes I'm doing Secret Pal 11 and hoping to send my last parcel out tomorrow. It's got a wintery theme so I bought my pal a chapstick (and other stuff hehe) but it's a bit sad - so - of course, someone has already made a chapstick cozy pattern so I'm going to try that out. Wish me luck!!!!!

My crochet mission is to finish my bag without magically increasing the number of stitches per round?!!!! Rolling Eyes - Hope it goes well, a chapstick cozy sounds very small, just as well you have such nimble fingers!

That sounds like a good pressie for a chapstick/ vaseline obsessed teenager.
My mission tonight is to finish the main bit of my wildflower shawl while watching have I got news for you and QI

Ooooh, good luck Sprite, if you don't find a pattern then you should be able to just make it up, crochet a circle to the size you want, then just do one stitch per stitch til it's the length you want... i'm assuming it's a long thing chapstick and not a pot, mind you the formula would be the same, it'd just be the size of the base circle that's different Smile

Good luck and don't forget the piccies Very Happy

Phew - I did it! I think it turned out ok as I'm definately not a crochet expert. I've only done one scarf and a few squares. I kind of followed instructions I found on the web. I added a button and sewed on one of the large rings I use for stitchmarkers so it can be attached to a keyring split ring thingy - if one so desired!!! Quite pleased with it really - might make myself one hehe!
