The Mystery of the Disappearing Blog

My blog has disappeared from my blogger profile. Two others that I belong to are still there, but Aknita's Knits isn't. Any ideas?
YarnAddict

I just clicked on the 'www' link at the bottom of your post and your blog has come up.
franney

Hmmmm, have you changed any of the settings? It's definitely not on your profile, although it is still "there" Confused
Aknita

I haven't changed anything Franney - the less I have to do with settings the better Wink it's a puzzle isn't it.

eta I have edited my profile and now it's back! I don't know why it went, but I am glad it's back. I'm glad I went in and edited my profile too - apparently this morning I was an accountant from Afghanistan Confused Shocked Shocked

Now all I need to do is work out why I need to log in every flipping time Shocked Evil or Very Mad

Have you got a secret life you haven't told us about? Wink Laughing I always have to log into blogger. And over the last few days a lot of the comment notificaitons have been in German. I just assumed it's blogger having problems.

Laughing I did German at school but don't remember much. Ness has just started doing German at school and I'm slowly remmebering stuff. Some German words are close to Norwegian words so I can understand some things.
janice

Another one with German on her blog, I just put it down to a blogland glitch Very Happy I did German at school but it was a long time ago and I only recognise the odd word now Rolling Eyes

I had a German blog too - I thought I'd pressed a daft button and didn't know!
angieknitsagain

I thought the same thing too, Debs, as I'm also 'multi-lingual' just now Rolling Eyes

Joy, I'd noticed that your blog link was missing and would have said had I thought. The link seemed to disappear about the same time as you had some unwelcome and unwarranted 'mail'. I must live in a world of cynicism and intrigue as I thought that perhaps your 'disappearance' was linked to that.

Am a right old droopy drawers, eh?

I suppose I hadn't noticed because I never have to look for myself iyswim. It was Becka from Whimsical Knitting who alerted me. Anyway, it's back now.

I'm still finding my way with blogging. I'm still not sure whether I should be adding photos via photobucket or directly from my pc. And one day I shall have a button that clicks!
jacquie

To do a button that clicks:

1) In your template click on "Add a Page Element".
2) Select the HTML/Javascript option.
3) On the form that comes up don't add a title.
4) In the content box add:

Code:

<a href="http://PAGETOLINKTO"><img src="http://PICTURELINK"></a>

where PAGETOLINKTO is where you want to go when you click on the button eg if it was to ctny it would be "http://craftythreadsnyarns.myfreeforum.org"
and the picture link would be whatever your picture host provides.
Aknita

Thank you Jacquie Very Happy I am going to have some fun with my buttons soon Wink
YarnAddict

Thank you from me too Jacqui. I'm sure you've told me how to do it several times before. And I'm pretty sure I've got an e-mail somewhere that tells me how to do it but I keep forgetting. I've printed off the instructions now and saved in my folder where I keep buttons so I know what to do. Very Happy I'll go and get the CTNY button back on my blog now.
