The Lady Elizabeth by Alison WeirI bought this the other day using some of my Christmas book tokens
Only out in hardback atm, but I managed to get it on special offer at my local bookshop.
Its about Queen Elizabeth I - her early years starting from the age of 3 just after her mother had been sent to death. I have only read a few pages, but it is proving extremely readable - Alison Weir has a great style - similar to Phillipa Gregory - bringing history to life

I have it to Jo but haven't started it yet. I read her first novel Innocent Traitor about Lady Jane Grey and I loved it!!! I have read lots of her historical non-fiction as well.
