The KnitterCame through my letterbox this morning, my 3rd and final sub copy. There are some nice patterns but what were they thinking with the camoflauge jumper for a man The only problem is that the stuff I like is for skinnier girls
They also printed a letter from someone complaining about a crochet pattern in a so-called knitting mag. Get set for more

I think I'm in the minority but I quite like this mag.
I like most of the patterns in this one - especially Moonstone
Whether I ever get round to knitting any of the patterns is another matter.

I got my first one today, I'm on the 3 for £3 offer. I loved the lace wrap but the yarn is hard to find in the Uk what is the point of that? Nothing else I would try. I also got a pink and black craft bag which is really good so overall I am a bit pleased

I like moonstone too - but was on the look out for a pattern for my everso pink peru & there was nowt
That camo jumper is quite distressing - reminds me of the pictrue jumpers my gran churned out in the early 80's!
I wonder what's on pages 40 & 41 of the newsstand issue - we get a cushion club - do you think it's a lovely subscriber offer

You've got me wondering about this camouflage jumper now!!
I must admit that I saw this magazine in WHSmiths last weekend and wasn't tempted to buy it, mainly because the only pattern I may have knitted I had already.
Why do magazines insist on publishing so many patterns that are already in spinners' booklets and books?? I'm won't buy a mag if I already have half the bloomin patterns!

The Knitter seems to be very bad at having lots of previously published patterns - sometimes calling them 'exclusive' I cancelled my subscription after the last issue because I had so many of the patterns and there was virtually nothing to read in it - you could 'read' it ie look at the pictures, in about 10 minutes.

the shawl is in my folk shawls book, the camo jumper is definitely an 80's throwback, as is the shape of the peach rowan jumper. i do like moonstone as it's a similar pattern to a favourite i knitted my baby recently. it does seem to concentrate on the glossiness more than the content. the first issue i bought was ok (i think it was issue 3) but there's no way i'll be paying £6 a month for it.

I quite liked this issue. I loved the pattern that was on the cover, although I'd leave the tassles off as I'm not really a tassley girl. I was on the 3 for £3 offer and I think I'll keep my sub on for another year, to see how the mag fares.

I thought this issue was quite good. I like Moonstone and the Bergere de France raglan jumper.
The camoflage jumper would be ok on a six year old.

I got issue 6 today. I did the three for £1 each subscription but I cancelled it. Not sure if I need any more mags as I still subscribe to Simply Knitting. Not had time to look through this issue but the top on the cover looks nice
