Anyone know of an easy and quick soloution??? There is no way I can wind it as it is. This is the first time I have bought from this person and tho the colours are gorgeous I can't be doing with this nonsense Evil or Very Mad

Aww thanks but I couldn't ask you to do that Shocked  Laughing I will just sit and do it manually rather than use the ballwinder if there's no other way - I've tried sort of giving it a tug and letting it dangle all to no avail Laughing

Laughing  Laughing Maybe you mean Mr P - he's a lot more patient than me Wink
FatCat

yeah, get Mr P to do it for you!   Very Happy  Patience is the way, do a bit at a time.  I remember the first yarn I ever bought that arrived in a skein, I had no idea how to wind it and ended up with biggest ball of yarn vomit you can imagine.  It was Lion and Lamb, so pretty yarn vomit but still.  Took me about 4 days to sort out, just a bit at a time otherwise I ended up getting really cross with it, and myself  Evil or Very Mad  Bet you sort yours out far more quickly, looking forward to seeing it!

i love untangling, i find it soothing Laughing

I don't know as i could offer any advice though, i think it's just a matter of looking at the tangles and working out which way you need to go to undo it - which is probably what you're doing anyway cos that's how you undo tangles ROFL

Sorry, my brain's gone into overlaod today, it's all the excitement dontcha know Wink

Well I've done it!! And what a mess - I've never had one like that and what's more it had 3 knots. I may not be buying from this seller again tho the yarn and colours are lovely Confused

Thanks for the advice Razz

When I saw the title of this thread, I thought Tangled Skein was going to be another pictish recommended yarn supplier. Shocked

I was thinking "oh noooooo!" because I thought I would be presented with dreadful temptation again.  Confused

I was really surprised when it was actually about a tangled skein  Laughing   Laughing

Glad you got the skein sorted Ali, but all those knots  Shocked  Evil or Very Mad  G'wan, do we get to see this very pretty yarn .....?   Very Happy
CJ

I had some of that tofutsies and it had 7 knots in about 400m.   Shocked  Evil or Very Mad

Good grief, that's awful  Shocked  And unlucky  Sad I've used Tofutsies a lot and never had a single knot.  You poor thing.
CJ

oh, that's good to know.

but I also wouldn't use it for socks again, they're my only pair that developed a hole in them.   Rolling Eyes
FatCat

I've never had any holes in mine either  Confused  you must've had a duff ball and no mistake  Shocked
CJ

I'm sorted now but thanks Fi!!!

I haven't bought a skein, can't believe it. I remember growing up, my mum would stick a skein over my hands and make me sit still while she wound it into a ball  Very Happy

Ahh maybe you don't knit with hand dyed sock yarn?? Wink I used to get DH to help me wind my yarn like that and that's why he made me a swift Laughing
gilraen
