Hmmm - I'm distinctly underwhelmed Confused I might feel different when it arrives but ....... I have to say I've not really liked the way Interweave have been going the last few seasons - not so many wearable things or at least things I would want to make and wear Sad

Thanks Anna Cool . It seem early too!!

I'm glad it wasn't just me! Embarassed
Wildpurl

Yes, I felt distinctly meh! about this one. I think it's the summer stuff tbh, I didn't really like last year's Summer IK, but Autumn, Winter, and to some extent Spring were fine.

I've still got the summer patterns from about three years of IK to knit anyway LOL
malteser

I quite like the ribbons and lace cardigan but nothing else grabs  me. I let my subscription lapse after the last issue and there is not enough there to tempt me to buy this one.
Blossom

Oh good...I'm glad it wasn't just me who thought it was a bit pants this time round!! Smile
loobyj

Hmm.  Don't think it's for me either.  Which is good, cos I've promised myself I won't buy it anymore Confused  I've been a bit iffy butty about it for the last few issues too.

I get it via sub, but I've not been overfussed with it for a few issues. If they don't improve this year then I may not renew my sub.

I like the Stanwyck Pullover and that's about it!

I know I've been thinking the same Confused In fact I haven't really really been struck with it since Eunny took over Shocked I think it's moved away from the more wearable to I don't know what in the last year or so. Well for me anyway. I have 2 more issues and then I need to decide whether to carry on subscribing - it's a lovely mag but I'm not sure if I want to buy it just for the articles and the adverts.

If I remember rightly, the summer issue last year had all sorts of colourwork designs, this one has got some of that 'style' too! Things like the sleeveless top with the patchwork effect - just odd. There are a few things I like but I usually find the Summer one to be the least knitworthy each year.
loobyj

I think you're right Pictish - I started to fall out of love when Eunny took over too.

I subscribed to IK for the whole of 2007 and didn't renew the sub, just buying on an as and when basis. I have just ordered the Spring issue because I have grand plans to knit the Fountain Pen Shawl but overall when you prefer the ads in a magazine to the pattern content it's time to stop buying.
pictish

Laughing Yep you're right!! Laughing
loisamelia

I agree with you all and didnt renew my sub at christmas last year as I also have been underwhelmed by some issues Sad
I have to say that YF is disappointing me at the moment too, not so many things in there that I want to knit either  Confused
pictish

I know - I'm not going to bother buying the current issue of YF.
pictish

Got this this morning and I still feel unimpressed Sad
Aknita

I had a copy of the Spring issue in the post today ( I want to knit the Fountainpen Shawl ) and I quite like the rest of the issue.
pictish

I definitely prefer the Spring issue!!

I think I've got mixed feelings about IW at the moment tbh Shocked
There are lots of patterns from recent IW's that I want to make, but I haven't been inspired to knit them by the magazine, its been from seeing variations of them on Ravelry, and I think thats the problem Confused  The designs just don't look that great in the mag, maybe it's the colours or the fit on the models or whatever? Confused

I have to say aswell that I used to prefer the layout where the patterns were with the pictures, rather than later in the mag, but thats probably a bit picky Rolling Eyes
Aknita

And I'm in danger of repeating myself, aren't I Wink
