I can't believe there's no postal insurance! Unless they get them at a presentation of some kind? Orrrrrrr Stephen King himself is going to deliver them *swoons*

I collect old children's books, and a few years ago I treated myself to a couple of fairly expensive ones from a London dealer, which got me onto his mailing list. Now I get glossy catalogues in the post several times a year, with prices to make your eyes water - the current catalogue has a signed first edition of F Scott Fitzgerald's Tender is the Night for the bargain price of £42,500! There's also a first of Casino Royal for £25,000, and a book of photographs of the Norfolk Broads for £100,000. There are 87 pages in the catalogue, and nothing's less than £100.... |
