stash enhancement - Lana Grossa cottonsI finally gave in yesterday to Get Knitted's sale offer of five pot luck Lana Grossa cottons for £20, and, although obviously every order will have different colours/yarns, I thought I'd show you what I got. I hope you don't mind me sharing, but I'm really pleased with the selection!
The top 2 are Spirit, the blue one is Maya, the pink one is Festa and the grey one is Stretch. What a bargain! I'm very happy

Cazzie, you could always trying giving them a call to see if they'd do you five of one colour? and LOL at Pictish - yes indeedy I could do another Tempest. But I'd have to find the enthusiasm to finish the one I already have OTN first

I've never worn nor knit cotton socks, does anyone have any experience of them? Does it not feel hard on the soles of your feet?? |

I have used the regia cotton and they feel gorgeous on the feet....soft and cool.
FC you got a great selection....I want some now

Franney, I've made socks in Opal Cotton and Lana Grossa cotton and I've not found them to feel any rougher or more uncomfortable than the usual Opal or LG. Softer in fact. I did make some LG cotton ones for Mr FC and he has said that they're not as stretchy as the ones I usually make for him (bog standard Opal or Regia) and they don't stay up so well. But that's just because cotton doesn't stretch so well. He still finds them comfy

I've got no willpower at all. Having a bad work week too. So, I've just ordered one of those, plus some of the reduced Tofutsies.

well I think a bad work week definitely deserves yarny treats! And hurrah! I've finally got revenge on you for you blatantly enabling me into buying Tofutsies when it came out. (I never forget my enablers ... )
I hope you're as happy with your selection as I am with mine, perhaps you could post a pic so we can all drool over what you get? Hope the work week improves, and even if it doesn't at least tomorrow is Friday and you've squidgy parcels to look forward to

Here is my selection - top two are Terra, the blue one Spirit, the orange Maya and the grey one Festa. I'm not sure about the blue one - but I know feet that aren't as fussy
Also for your delectation are five balls of Tofutsies - I love this yarn and they're running out at GK, so I made hay while the sun shone
For the foreseeable future I shall be mostly sock knitting

I had one of my spies go into GK the other day and report back on the Tofutsie situation There are some colours they've run out of the and the stocks of the others aren't huge. Hence my splurge!

I collected my parcel from the post office yesterday with my sock yarn selection in it ----- I like some shades of the yarn but not others!
