Start of a Baby Blankie

Look!! i'm so chuffed that I was able to crochet two granny squares after the Stockport crochet course I had to put a piccie on here:

I think I might have to call this blankie 'Stockport' as a tribute to the fab day we had on sunday.

The first square took ages to complete, after changing hook to a 5.5mm instead of a 4.5mm, frogging, and then getting confuzzled with the instructions, but the second square took all of about 45mins to complete last night.

I want to crochet 12 squares in all to make a blanket that measures 18" by 24" (a buggy blanket or moses basket blanket) for a newborn baby, and I want to make other coloured squares as well. Each square measures 6 inches across and consists of 5 rounds of trebles.
