Spinning dvdHave any of you seen Patsy Zawistoski's dvd "Spinning Wool - Basic and Beyond"? It's available at PM Woolcraft.
I've reached a point where I have learned very basic spinning skills but I cannot control the thickness as much as I'd like to. I'm starting to wonder things like how the Scotch tension versus treadling speed affects the singles when I'm trying to spin laceweight (ie. should I treadle quicker or turn the screw).
I cannot take lessons in this country, so I've thought of getting dvd. They are quite expensive and I'm not sure if Spinning Wool - Basic and Beyond is too basic. I already know how to ply, how to finish yarn and I don't need to know how to prepare a fleece. I'm badly allergic, so I have to limit my spinning to prepared fibers. Size control and drafting techniques plus navajo plying would be helpful to me, but I don't know if I'm ready to pay for them only.
