Spindle spun fun!I've been playing with the spindle most days since Christmas and this last week I've been challenging myself to see how thin I can spin the merino roving.
The latest skein weighs 25g and measures just under 80meters. I haven't worked out the wpi yet but it's coming....

I find it easier to wind the yarn off the spindle into a centre pull ball, and then holding the ball in my hand I pass the inner end up around my ring finger and over my pinky, and the outside end around my thumb, attach both ends to the spindle with a slip over knot and ply away. It's the best method I've found so far - some of the singles are a bit fragile in places so I can control the tension better.
