Sirdar Luxury Soft Cotton DKThis is gorgeous to knit with!!! Almost as soft as the new organic cottons but a bit more body to it. Nice stitch definition too.

Ooo - I;ve been looking at the 4-ply recently (who am I kidding that I will finish something in 4-ply)

I know I looked at it today but time is of the essence with this one cos I would like to do 2 cardis if I can before 3 weeks on Thursday
This is the one I'm doing in the Luxury Cotton in navy here - the cardi version which if you scroll down you will see.

It's from the new Sublime Organic Cotton book - I love the bands and I wondered how they were done but it's just rolled up st st Very clever!!

I love Luxury Soft Cotton. I have some 4-ply waiting for a pattern which Cazzie is going to send me. It's being very patient in the stash basket, waiting for things to stop being hectic for her

Now how spooky is that! I was looking at that same pattern only this morning as I finished my Seaton cardigan off before breakfast and wanted something to cast on today! I had the walnut luxury cotton in mind that I bought from you last year Ali! Great minds eh?!

It'll be great in that!!! That just wasn't my colour - well not then It's a lovely classic shade.
This yarn has a really nice range of shades too - so many of the cottons are just pretty pastel colours which are great but you DO need brown/black/navy in the summer too!!! I haven't tried the 4 ply yet but I definitely will now.

That's the problem with most summer cotton yarns - they are pastel colours which just do not suit me at all Give me brights or neutrals any day

Sorry Anna - I will try and get sorted asap - the Rowan book has been sitting in my drawer at work for 2 weeks

It's my own fault really, cazzie. I did say there was no rush!
That's a very pretty pattern, I may have to have my eye on it as well

Sure is. I enjoyed knitting it; it was different enough from plain stocking stitch to be interesting but not so complicated that I couldn't watch TV at the same time Actually, I may wear it tomorrow, if the weather holds out...[/quote]

Thanks - will sort it this week

I love bright colours, I am on the lookout for some lime green cotton for a summer cardie or jumper.
I would also love some bright purple and orange sock yarn, after seeing the shade of some violas in my tubs.

Sirdar Calico and Sirdar Luxury Soft Cotton DK both have luscious lime green shades. Lime green seems to be in this year, sadly it doesn't suit me I'm more of a khaki person

I've got 10 or 12 balls of the Sirdar Luxury Cotton DK in the lighter blue, it knits up lovely, very soft as well (I've only done a swatch so far) I bought it last summer to knit Louisa's Hardings Tide (instead of the Glisten) but now I'm not sure what to use it for

Tide is lovely Paula!!! Have you seen Debs' longer version?
