Set in sleeves questionI've done the back & sleeve of a jacket & I had to cast off 6sts each side on the back to begin the armhole shaping, but on the sleeve it begins with only 3sts each side
I thought the first few sts cast off had to match to be able to sew it up properly, how am I going to sew it together & try & do a decent job of it?? (I don't think it's an error as all the patts in the book do it the same way )

has the front got armhole shaping too, maybe all the cast off stitches are at the back instead of split between back and front. |

Yep, the fronts are shaped too, same 6sts at armhole edge to begin with

Hmmm I've looked at the pattern Jo and mine says the same. Have you looked on Rav for any errata? |

I'm sure its probably right Jo tbh. I've just done the blooming cardi from IW, and the fronts and back are CO 6 sts at armhole, but the sleeves were only 4. Sometimes the sleeves are shaped at the armhole only with Casting off anyway, so you wouldn't match those up with another cast off iyswim................ does that make sense???

I think Terri's right Jo... as long as the raglan seam matches for length then you shouldn't have a problem sewing it up. You might just need to ease the sleeve seam in as you go iyswim? Make sure you pin it together before you start sewing would be my advice but I bet you do that already
