Rowan Purelife Cotton - a word of warning *and update*

As you know I got this last week in the Brazilwood shade #982. Well when I bought it I was a bit concerned cos it looked very mottled and almost semi-solid on the ball but the jacket they had made up looked fine so I bought it. When I have started knitting, it is coming up distinctly stripey Confused The ballband does state that there will be natural variations in the colour as it is all natural plant dyes that are used but I have phoned JL and they were great about it and Mr Pictish is exchanging it for me on Wednesday - there was no problem. I am going to go for another colour tho Confused

So if you DO buy some look closely - shade 982 is the one I had - a dark pink.

It is absolutely gorgeous yarn to knit with tho.

Well after I wrote this I remembered I had a ball of the Twilleys organic Sincere Cotton DK - almost half the price of the Rowan @ £2.75 and it is almost identical so have got JL to swap my Rowan with some of the Twilleys Laughing Maybe not as 'green' but it isn't patchy Laughing .
