Me first!
This is the little bag from mogiebear. She thinks it's regia silk.
And this is the notebook.
And then, inside we have....
Lots of goodies!
a washcloth with a dog on it knitted from 15 year old stashed cotton, a sherbet fountain
sewing thread (cotton, my favourite, and lovely colours too)
stitchmarkers in their own wee bag, made by MB herself.
Fridge magnets, fruity teabags and the dinkiest bookmark!
mogiebear, you are the best!
I love all of it, and the bookmark is already tucked inside my current "read".
Thank you so much, you have put so much thought into it and I am just delighted.

Did you miss me????
Well here we have Joy's lovely bag:
and here are the contents:
The seeds were BOGOF in Woolies - so I got two packets (YaY! ) Mixed salad leaves, and sweet peppers. The salad leaves will get put in the conservatory in a pot (to save them from the chickens, and also make them earlier and more "to-hand" when I'm making my sarnis) and sweet peppers are my favourite - so bright and cheerful, and full to bursting of vitamin C !! - I also got a packet of Milky Way magic stars, which I am ashamed to say have been completely demolished whilst waiting for Photobucket to upload my photos!!
Thank you Joy, the gifts are perfect, and the little travel notebook is safely tucked away with the bag (hopefully clear of Spot!) waiting to go on further travels!
|

|
Lovely prezzies Noo.
I expect a real pepper in my bag when in gets to me.....
Magic Stars are way cool... all the little faces on them are different, or did you eat them too fast to notice!!! ?

Your pressies are lovely too n........ clever mogie.......
anyone else opening yet?
|
terri
|
I've opened mine from N, but havinf problems getting photos uploaded to photobucket I'll keep tryng though
|
terri
|
Eventually manged to get photobucket to co-operate
Here is my bag from N
the lovely notebook, which I'm wishing I could keep
everything was individually wrapped!
here they are opened
So, in there was a set of pastels in semolina to keep them clean, some gorgoeus minty homemade soap, mini eggs and a lollipop, some biscuits for scooby and terri, some tea bags and some book crossing tokens, I'kl definately be looking into this!
And Finally..............................
this!!!
Handmade by N, a japanese origama crane, which she was taught to make by a Hiroshima survivor, 2 years ago in Japan!!! Its sat next to my fairies on my piano, so pride of place indeed!!!
N has detailed all her choices in the notebook, so everyone will get the chance to see why she chose each item. Thanks N, excellent choices

Ooohh what lovely bags so far.
Noo I am glad you liked the Magic Stars - my favorites says she who professes not to like chocolate - and I hope the seeds grow! I'm sorry I had to tell you they were a BOGOF - but I didn't want to risk Natalie jumping at me from a great height if she had thought for one moment I had gone over £2:00 ....................
|
n
|
Nothing wrong with BOGOF seeds!
I can't wait to see the seedlings ...
As you'll see when you examine the notebook I sent, it was recycled
I had great fun putting terri's bag together.
The pastels were broken half sticks bought at the College of Art for almost nothing, and they were uniformly sludge green from all the powdery residue... you should have seen my hands after scrabbling through a box of sludge green dusty sticks! But they were bargainicious, and I remember reading somewhere that pastels should be stored in ground rice... semolina was all I has in the cupboard!

I received my goodies from Cazzie earlier in the week but never got round to posting about them. (Thanks for your patience Cazzie!)x
It's not the best photo in the world but hopefully you can see the gorgeous 'star struck' blue fabric with embossed stars; a lovely star flower bookmark; some star shaped shell beads; and one thing not in the piccie is the packet of Milky Way stars which lasted about 5 seconds!!
Thanks Cazzie for a lovely package.
You can just about make out Cazzie's little notebook in the top lefthand corner of the photo which has the cutest little kitty cat on the front! I do hope this doesn't get 'lost' on its way back to you Cazzie!
xx

Here are pictures of my bag from Hanne and contents.
First the bag itself - full fit to bursting - and the lovely little note book.
Then inside were some gold seed beads - just right for my stitch markers - and some candy floss,
which on closer inspection turned out to be merino wool for me to spin.
If you have been reading my blog you will know I am planning on reading a different "complete idiot's guide to..." style book each month, and also that I intend to learn to spin. I think my March book will have to be the teach yourself spinning visually book.
Thank you so much Hanne - perfect things for me!

Gorgeous presents everyone.
My present from Terri arrived on Thursday but it's taken me uti lnow to get around posting pics.
The bagwas made from Peaches & Cream cotton (i think)
and inside it was some valentine chocs which Ness and I demolished straight away. Some gorgeous hand made stitch markers and a gorgeous shawl bead kit. Love the colours of all hte beads. Will show pic when I've made it. A rubber and tape measure which you can never have too many of and I don't have any rubbers and have to keep borrowing girls' ones when I do my knitting pattern charting. There was also a Lavender sachet which I could smell as soon as I took the parcel out of th plastic bag. and a bag of fibre of British Breeds but Terri didn't know which breeds. I should have taken a pic of them all out of the bag and I'll try to remember ot do it tomorrow.
I took the fibre to the spinning group with me yesterday (my first time) and the ladies there had great fun trying to identify the fibre. the medium brown one is Bluefaced Leicester, everyone agreed on that one but the others they were less sure about and quite a few possibilities were offered.
Thank you very much Terri.
My bag for Joy is ready to go but I'm waiting till she returns from her holiday.

AND I posted Mogie's bag this afternoon. A huge apology to Mogie for keeping her waiting.... my time is not my own when I'm on school placement and I'm expected to be at Key Stage meetings, Review meetings and Staff meetings after school hours as part of my placement criteria and when I get back home the post office is well and truly shut! I just love ALL the little bags, and their contents.
Everyone has done so well, matching the surprises to the intended recipients.
Is it just Anni sending to Aknita (because she's on holiday) and mogie's parcel which is in the post?
Please pm me if anyone has missing packages.

This is what Jacquie sent to me in her Tardis bag that she managed to stuff so much into:
The bag itself - glorious autumn colours with funky little notebook:
The wonderful contents: a ball of fabulous Sugar 'n' Cream cotton which I'm going to make a washcloth with, a pink highlighter pen which will be perfect for highlighting all my research papers in the next few weeks , a gorgeous little heart shaped decorate-it-yourself box which I already have plans for (think Barbie and PINK!!), two sheets of penguin stickers which are just right for a teacher, a sachet of Quaker Oats breakfast cereal and two herbal teabags which may encourage me to actually eat breakfast and the most adorable set of turquoise stitch markers which are so delicate and beautiful!
I can't thank you enough Jacquie - I am absolutely THRILLED with my bag contents and I actually feel quite ashamed of what I've sent to Mogie...
For all you stitchmarker addicts out there, here is gratuitous a close-up of Jacquie's amazingly delicate work on the stitchmarkers:

I look forward to seeing the little box in all its glorious pinkness in due course!
For the stitchmarker rings I found some tiny tag rings that are supposed to be an alternative to regular jump rings for lobster claw closures. They should be just right for socks or lace.
I made the notebook in a bit of a hurry and as usual my mini guillotine was MIA just when I need it so I am afraid the edges aren't very neat. (Of course I have found the guillotine since - lets hope I remember where it is next time I need it.)

I keep looking at the stitchmarkers in wonderment because they are sooooo... well, magical somehow. They are truly marvellous, although I have absolutely no idea what a lobster's wotsit is....

You know - the clasps with the little latches that you get on necklaces and such.
I am glad you like them though. I bought the turquoise beads in Moab - same time and place as the dino poo ones. I tried them with other beads, but they wanted all the limelight so I ended up using them on their own.

Silver is a favourite of mine and most of my jewellery is silver, so along with turquoise you chose my absolute favourite combination of colours.

I'm sorry, I know I promised a photo yesterday, but sadly the light defeated me. It's glorious this morning ( don't you just know I'm off to bed in a tick ) and so here we are.
It was a very special bag. There is n's lovely bag and notebook of course, a little lavendar bag, a dishcloth made with leftover yarn from one terri made for me last year, earrings made with beads which terri bought when we met at Harrogate in 2006 - and they are purple, look post it notes, a hungry hippo and some lovely buttons, some of which are from terri's nana's button box and so are VERY precious.
And yes, if you are wondering, they all fitted in the bag ( apart from the notebook of course! )

At last here is a pic of my RR gifts from Craftie Bernie.
I think this is my March bag and I will have two to send on - one for April and this one for May.
Anyway, lovely lovely things - the puff balls are made from gorgeous fabrics and I don't know what I will use them for yet - hopefully they will be just the thing for one of the future QAL themes. Tazo Zen is my favourite tea - I drink it at work, and the passion one sounds great. I am particularly intrigued by the idea of choc/hazelnut tea and plan on trying that one later today. The tube contains Elle MacPherson Fruit and Honey Exfoliator and it smells wonderful. The instructions say to massage over a wet body - I assume it means one's own, but it's nice that it doesn't restrict you!
Thank you so much Crafty Bernie!!!
