Posh HelenaIs there really enough for a pair of socks in a hank - it's only 330 yards Anybody used it for socks? It IS gorgeous

It's the same base yarn as my Organic merino, same supplier and the yardage is the same too.
And yes, you can get socks from it as long as you don't want them up to your knees.
Piglottie and Franney have both done socks with mine.
It's thicker, so you can get away with fewer stitches and possibly larger needles, but I bow to their experience with it on a variety of patterns other than my stocking stitch ones.

I haven't knitted any socks with my merino yet, its the standard sock yarn I've used. Its gorgeous wool though and is knitting up beautifully for the mittens I'm making

Ah. Mittens, sorry... my brain is befuddled!
2.75mm gives you a nice thickish plumped up "fabric", doesn't it?

I think they'll be very warm snuggly socks or mittens whatever
