Not long now!

So how's everyone's Thingmas knitting coming on.  I'm in the middle of a fetching-a-thon trying to make everyone a pair for this year.  They are much quicker than socks and so far have made 2 and a half pairs.

Mine's getting there, but seems a bit of a slog just now - why are scarves so long?
I've finished a hat, and need to make a pair of fingerless gloves to match, but will save them as a break from the scarves. Two of them are quite interesting, but I get fed up turning the work so often.

I've put the baby shawl down for a wee nap (it's NOT hibernating) as there are 1008 stitches just now, and it's still growing Shocked

Mine's doing ok actually! Shocked

Two red dragon scarves - one down, one to go! Very Happy
Socks for BFF - one sock done, one down to the heel turn
Hat for BFF - hit a snag, picking up wraps in a fine boucle yarn is blummin hard!!
Hat for Neicey - not cast on yet
Meret for me - finished! Very Happy

I've some dishcloths to do but they only take and evening each so i'm not too worried aobut having them finished just yet Wink
Binty

I wasnt going to do any thingmas knitting but somehow I have ended up with a list of things which have been asked for!!

1 pair of sock size 13 (grown up size!!) - nephew
A hat and mitts for an 8 year old girl - neice
a smurf - my DS
something else (but I cant remember what) - my DD

So I think I need to get knitting.  Also not on the knitting front but I havent managed to get any thingmas presents yet as I am sooooo disorganised  Shocked

Should I be panicing yet?

I have
half a sock to finish, for my mum
a sweater for DGS which is almost finished
4 pairs socks for men size 9s
2 pair girly socks size 5s

Was hoping to knit some more Yuletide Gnomes, will have to start knitting through the night I think  Laughing

I have somehow ended up with an afghan and 3 pairs of socks to knit and keep getting colds which are making my head feel stuffy.
I got a couple of audio books from the library today so might listen to them while knitting boring plain socks, hopefully it might make them seem quicker.

ahaaaa my secret is out!  I'm just not feeling that urgency feeling yet....... I will soon when I actually realise what month we're in, I'm sure!
FatCat

I've already got a pair of socks done and cast on some fingerless gloves.  That's it for my Christmas knitting this year.

I had planned, and started on, a cardigan for my mother, but I've lost my confidence about whether she'd like the style and whether it would suit her or fit her so I've stopped work on it.  I don't want her to have something that she hates or feels obliged to wear when I'm around so I don't think I can go down the surprise route on something like that. I'll need to talk to her and let her decide about patterns and yarn etc and I won't see her for another week or so.  So, it might happen in a mad rush up to Christmas or, more likely, I'll just make the cardigan for myself  Rolling Eyes

I've not even looked at mine.  I have loads of plans and have been so snowed under with everything, hoping that things will settle down but I can't see it some how just yet.

Just hoping that i will have enough time to knit my dad a new hat and a pair of aran socks for Christmas, and some hand warmers for my gran, not going to bother with anything else on my list, trying to buy a few hand made WAHM bits each week for presents instead

Facebook and the forums take up way too much of my time, fortunately i can't sit at the computer for long these days, unfortunately i'm not knitting much either Confused

I haven't even thought about Christmas  Shocked

And for so many reasons, I can't summon up the least bit of enthusiasm either. Not just for Christmas knitting, but for everything that goes with it.

Which is so unlike me  Sad

All I really want is to find a little corner and hide in it.

Aw Joy {{{{{hugs}}}}} I felt similar a few christmasses ago and so we took the kids to the coast on christmas day (made turkey and stuffing sarnies to eat on the beach) It was freezing but we ran from one end of the beach to the other!!!
I have to say it was a good day and we all felt better for just doing something different.

Onto C knitting...I don't actually make set gifts for people but rather make scarves, mitts and hats (the one size fits all variety Wink) and usually get a fair things made to just give to people (whom i've usually forgotten) and emergency gifts/thankyous.
Fi

Not doing any thingmas knitting this year.
Aknita

Thank you Linz.

I'm alright as long as I don't think about everything at once. I had a bad day yesterday, today is a bit better Very Happy

And I've finished my scarf and decided to gift it for Thingmas, so I've made a start now Wink

Just one step at a time Joy!
