I can't wait!
I'm going to be brave & do technical I haven't done before, maybe a Cat Bordhi pattern. But it depends upon the yarn. I've got all sorts in my 'club'; Fyberspates, Lorna's laces, Koigu & Opal.
The two opal yarns are part balls that I got in a swap with someone on here (or our previous 'home') a few years ago & will become trainer socks with a navy contrast, the rest, who knows......

Its part 5 of the socktopus swap from last year, and hopscotch socks by anna bell
It is exciting though isn't it

I'm weak. DD chose a package for me & I've got 2 nearly solid skeins of Koigu KPM to work with in a BEAUTIFUL shade of purple 350 yards so I think I'll go toe up Now to find a pattern....

What colour is it? I'd imagine Onions to produce a sort of caramel colour but may be totally wrong.

Not sure how you would describe it
I dyed most of it with 'white' onion skins and a wee bit with red skins cos I didn't have enough to do 50/50

The colours are great in that Janice!!!!!! I made the uptown boot socka last year and really enjoyed them, its a nice pattern!

mmmmmmmmm just looking at the Uptown boot socks and I'm not sure I will have enough yarn to knit for me so I think I will go with your suggestion Terri and knit the embossed leaves, could have sworn I had done these before, but can't find them

Oh they're gorgeous but I'm not in the Socktopus club so haven't got the pattern
I'm going to be cooking for a bit this afternoon (Indian fest tonight ) & then can sort out which pattern to go for. I've got the New Pathways book but haven't used yet.

wow, lots of lovely yarns and pattern choices! I picked my first one only a couple of weeks ago so that's still OTN, just started the second sock.
But ... as it's now February I picked out my next yarn yesterday and cast it on It's Dream in Colour Smooshy in Black Parade - gorgeous yarn, in the second row HERE, black with suble shades of blues and browns. And I've cast on the Merino Lace Socks from the Favorite Socks book
I'm aiming to get both pairs finished by the end of February and then I'll be back on proper timing for my sock club

I can't find my yarn
I thought I'd be good & get the housework done etc before sitting down with my pattern books & now it's gone
It's obviously been put in an 'Oscar-proof' place but I've checked all the usual ones........
ETA:
Panic over I've found it. It was in the very safe place of a closed cabinet where I keep all my Airedale figures. He can't get in there, yet This dog learnt to open his crate from the inside aged 7 months so we now use a karabiner to keep him in there at night.
