New shoes!I was on the lookout for some shoes today - specifically to wear with handknit socks as I haven't worn mine much. I have worn them with my clogs (although they are a little bit tight  ) - I didn't want cloggs forthis time of year. Anyway - I went into a nice (quite posh!) shoe shop in Oxford today - and I found these:
They're a sort of wine/aubergine colour I suppose. The make is 'Trippen'. I almost died when I saw the price - I've never spent this much on a pair of shoes - but I just had to get them. Eeeek! I want another pair now in a different colour! They only had the one colour in the shop but I think you can get other colours.

Thanks! I tried a pair of 'mary jane' type shoes a while ago and they made my feet look really fat - my feet are wide but I think they look ok in these. Need to knit more socks now!!!

Ok - but you have to believe me when I say I've never spent this much on a pair of shoes - or probably any one thing to wear.

thanks! The trouble is I think I'm going to find it hard to resist wearing them every day. Don't want to wear them out hehe! I think I'll have to keep my eye out for a different pair of shoes for sock wearing.

I think they are lovely. It is not too expensive if you will wear them a lot.
