New Blog

After a gazillion spam messages over the last week about "enhancement" which got around the numerical code on my blog, and then, for the umpteenth time today clicking in the sidebar by accident and losing half an hours work, I have spent the day setting up and configuring a new blog.
It's now integrated into the site, and functioning.

I have changed it in my profile, but anyone who has me listed in their favourites needs to put the new address in instead.

It's typepad, so the commenting is a bit different too.

hmmmm, it's showing up weird on my pc and won't let me subscribe - does this one have an rss feed n?

As for the showing up weird, it's looking really narrow and not very tall at all - i'll try it in IE and see if it's FF...
The width looks a bit better in IE but it's still only about half the height of the webpage Confused is that how it's supposed to be?
n

The webpage is longer because of things in the side bar, and it has to be narrow or it won't fit in the space avialable for the template. I can't see it in IE only in Firefox or Safari.
I may need to do more tweaking though.
Does it look okay for the rest of you? Sometimes there are "issues" for certain Windows programs.... XP has trouble sometimes.

It looks ok to me in FF but I've not looked in IE.

So your not the only person to be having 'spam' problems. Lottie from potting shed has also recieved loads, something going on somewhere.

Yep I can see your new blog too!

For me, the visible space is marginally narrower but a great deal shorter - like a square window. I use IE on Vista.

i'm using opera and it looks fine to me too Very Happy

How odd, I appear to have made the same comment twice 3/4 of an hour apart and I know I only made one visit to comment Confused

I'm housekeeping it at the moment, taking things like the BAFAB button off it to clean it up a bit.

Can you tell me if that's better, visually... and if there is anything you need from a user point of view that I have taken off by mistake...  Shocked

It looks fine to me.

I think it fills the page better now, it isn't actually any bigger, but the size of the sidebar now matches the size of the blog, so the big white space isn't evident any more.
I'm trying to alter the RSS feed, but for the moment you can access it below the picture of me!

Franney, I think I've managed to make it wider for you... does that look better?
It's not in a grey "box" any more.
Sorry to keep posting but it's hard to know what it looks like on different browsers.

YAY! n, that is lots better here, it fills the space nicely now Smile
I tend to subscribe to blogs these days, it's the only way i get round to reading all my favourites so it's a technicality, but if anyone else has the same set-up as me then it's perfick Wink

*hugs*

What a pain in the bum. But you've turned it around really quickly so bravo to you and 'snort' to the spammers!

My Outlook mailbox has been spammed beyond belief lately.  And guess how the little beggers are getting around the junk filters... they're inserting blocks of random text passages in the actual email & subject line so the junk filter thinks it's 'real' mail.  I've given up checking it every day now and have a clear out once a week. In the meantime, if anybody needs viagra, sex toys or vitamins, I'm your gal!!!
