Hope you don't mind me moving this, but I thought of a really awful name for the mini-forum and I thought I would put a TV one on at the same time.

I've not bought anything new for ages. But I love listening to my kaiser chiefs album, altho I have to try hard to resist dancing to a few of the tracks.

There's little point me joining in here 'cos musically I was soooo born out of my time!!! !- I like trad jazz, and old time blues (the kind that a New Orleans man would've been playing on a verandah!) I love gospel and rock and roll, and can move into the 70's on those themes. But I hardly ever listen to anything newer than that (Robbie Williams probably one of the only exceptions!)
I'm a 70 year old in a 38 year old body !!!! LOL

We went to see the Killers when they were here a month or so ago. They were good but we were probably the oldest there. It was all standing so we were squashed in with all the teenagers doing teenagery things. Really took us back to when we were teens ourselves

at the moment i am listening to the sugababes new album (the singles collection) went to see them earlier this year in concert and have to say they were fab.
also favs are evanescence (absolutely adore them, seen them twice in concert and going to see them again next week in london)
hoobastank (also seen in cncert, they have a song called disappear that is one of the contenders for our first dance at my wedding.
kelly clarkson is another fav, also saw her in concert earlier this year, was fabulous, spent the whole time on stage with no shoes on too.
also like a group called within temptation they are scandinavian, not big in this country at all but but they are really reall good, the lead singer has a voice that could rival any opera singer but she sings rock music.
ummm umm.... there is loads more i like, sometimes ther eis just a song here and there, like snow patrol's chasing cars, and a few greenday, etc songs but basically i am a bit of a rock chic

I think I'm with Auntie Noo here in the fogey stakes (though I'd maintain I'm not quite as bad ). I like folk rock best - bands like The Pogues and The Levellers. For solo artists I love Van Morrison.
I haven't bought any albums for ages but when I catch them on the radio or tv I like The Kaiser Chiefs, Razorlight, The Stereophonics and The White Stripes. A lot of the time though I just know I like 'that song', without having a clue who it's by!

DS and DH left about half an hour ago to collect DS's friend and make their way. It's a horrible evening for driving.
He was very excited before they left. It's not his first gig, he's been to a couple before, but it's his first with a friend as opposed to an adult.
So I'll be on tenterhooks till they get home.

I got the best of Cat Stevens as a Christmas pressy???

When I was 10 we went to the recording of CrackerJack and it was a special show. They had Cat Stevens doing Matthew and Son and Paul Jones doing Bad Bad Boy. We all screamed so much that we ruined the recording and Paul Jones had to sing his all over again - what a shame
