Merino Silk Handspun - picsThis is my Merino/Silk handspun. the purple/pink/lilac singles is from the Yarn Yard and the blue is my own hand dyed merino/silk. I've got about 220gr and it's 16.5-17 wpi which makes it sportweight or between 4ply and dk according to my chart.
I'm planning to make a shawl with it for myself. Not quite decided on pattern yet htough.
I'm very happy with this yarn. it's my best yarn yet. The ladies at the spinning group yesterday complimented me on it too.

Thank you everyone. It does have a slight sheen to it but not as much as I would have expected. Not cast on yet iether. Got sidetracked with some other new ideas today. Got some Manos del Uruguay Silk Blend last week and just had to knit with it. Doing a stole and mixing it with some HipKnits ARan Silk. will definitely be getting more Silk Blend. It's gorgeous.
