Marguerite-alongI'm just casting on for this and I know terri has just started. Anybody else like to joinn in? This is the cardi here it's lovely and feminine - Joy has made a lovely one here & Alice has made 2 I think It's knitted in Louisa Harding Impression but any DK that knits to 22st will do
Mine is in the red shade here

I'll join in this one as mine is already otn!!! Have only done the rib of the back so far though, and I didn't do the ruffle hem, its a little too fussy for my liking

Yes I have pictish...in fact it's the only cardi I've made that I wear. In fact I'm wearing it now and actually wishing I'd made the sleeves a bit longer and have I got enough yarn left to add to the bottom of the sleeves.....
But I might like another one in the Angora. I'll go to my lys at the weekend because although I'm knitting from stash I've got a credit note that *must* be spent.

It's a lovely cardigan to knit, and on my to-do list for 2008 - I have the Impressions all ready for one but now I feel like casting on
For me the ruffles ( and they're only little ruffles ) complement the shaping of the cardigan beautifully and are what "make" it iyswim - but isn't that the great thing about hand knitting - if you don't like something you don't have to do it The first few rows do seem to take forever though, but on the other hand there's not much ribbing really which might be considered a bonus
Tell you what, I'll finish Shony then I'll cast on.

I think the yarn I'm using is the same shade you made one in Alice It will be lovely in the angora too - there are some very pretty shades in the Pure range
You could always add a ruffle on the sleeves if you left them off.

hang on missus Pictish WIP Mistress person, how many cardigans are you casting on today? Or didn't you actually start on the Must Have one?
Marguerite is gorgeous though, very nice indeed! But I'll definitely be sitting this one out and watching from the sidelines and cheering the rest of you on

I have cast on for both and done a bit on each I AM WIP Mistress after all as well as the stash queen these days so I have to keep practising
Just you cast on when you fancy Joy - that'll be nice

I've cast-on and am making good progress up the back.
Is anyone else actively working on it?

I'd love to get it finished in time for Christmas but that might be too ambitious. Although we're going to DD2's for Christmas Day so I'm not going to be too busy some of my brothers and sisters are coming here tomorrow so that will eat into my time.... I don't sleep much since my various health problems so there's hope

Well it would be nice Alice - but don't put too much pressure on yourself

Alice

How are you all doing??
Mine is finished except for sewing up and the bands but I'll have to wait until I can see better for those.
So what shall I start now?

My two are going to be frogged as they're coming out too small - the Impressions esp has no give in it
Glad yours has worked out Alice

I made this a while ago, it's a lovely cardigan, and I've worn it lots. The impression is wearing well, with just a little bit of rubbing of the angora under the arms.
If I did it again I'd cast off the button band on at least one size bigger needles, as it pulls up a bit. But that's my only gripe with it. And I have about four jumpers worth of Impression in my stash (it was cheap ) so I may do another one one day. But not just yet....

I have started mine in the bigger size as I found another ball of the yarn Done about 7" of the back.

Mine just needs buttons then a photo..

Oooh lovely Alice!! Yours is in the angora isn't it.

Alice

Yes and I'm really pleased with it. Just having trouble deciding on buttons.

Mmmm I haven't thought of that yet. Looking forward to seeing it

Finally......
The phot colour's not very good.
It's Kimono Angora Pure colour Teak # 13 and it's a lovely rich burgundy colour. I haven't worn it yet although it fits nicely because the fibres float so much I'm afraid they'll go in my eye. I shall wait until I'm less sensitive about it.
