Magknits Rainbow socksHas anyone attempted or even managed to make a pair of these? I've seem some lovely ones on Ravelry & really want a pair.
I spent all day & night yesterday trying them & I can't do it I can't work out where I am in the pattern; can't keep 15 sts on each needle; can't do her short rows; can't fathom the last round of the first pattern repeat. It's driving me nuts. I've tried to follow a tutorial someone has on her blog & that's no better I've made a few pairs of socks, but this makes me feel such a newbie
I'm waiting for an 'aha - that's how you do it' moment, but it hasn't clicked yet!

I haven't made them but your description sounds very intriguing! I shall investigate later

Jo, as a result of your post, I printed out the pattern and cast on for a trial run. Like you I couldn't get her method of short rows. Usually you slip a stitch before you turn and then wrap it on the way back but I couldn't get my yarn in the right place to start to purl using her method. So don't feel too downhearted, I must be stupid with you It is an intruiging pattern though and after I've done my current pair of socks with a short row heel, I'll perhaps try again.
Good luck and don't give up

Thanks for trying it for me craftylady. I've already had 3 hours at it today I can do the short row bits now, but that last row is impossible, it's how to work the last 4 unworked sts of the round that I can't grasp. I end up with 2 wrapped sts alongside each other & it leaves a gap when you do the 2 plain rounds I'm thinking about emailing the designer to get her to walk me through it
