Louisa Harding FauveI put this in the thread about cheap Fauve from Jannette, then decided it was probably better here....
My Fauve arrived today, super efficient service from Jannette as ever (I didn't pay until Tuesday night, due to deciding I needed more than I'd originally ordered).
I've cast on for a cardigan (Relaxed Cardigan from Modern Classics), it's strange to knit to 20sts/28 rows per 4" on 6.5mm needles, but it works, and makes a lovely thick and soft fabric, with shiny bits from the thread which is sewn down the middle of the soft ribbon. It's not like knitting with other ribbon yarns I've tried, once it's on the needles it knits just like most yarns. And it's not at all splitty. I did have issues with my Knitpicks Options though, they were too shiny for it, the right hand needle kept making a bid for freedom. So I've switched to straights, which are behaving much better.
