What's your new avatar Joy?? Have I missed something? Laughing
Auntie Noo

Embarassed had to look up who John Martyn was, but I know now!! Smile

Glad you enjoyed it.

(and equally curious about Joy's avatar)

Ah - it's Noggin the Nog I used to LOVE this as a child, and was mesmerised by the voice of Oliver Postgate

I remember Noggin the Nog - not much about it tho Confused
Nanatoo

Joy, you should read 'Seeing Things' - Oliver Postgate's autobiography. He's DH's favourite (I love him too, that voice is soooo calming) and he got to meet him a few years ago. He had the original Bagpuss with him when DH chatted to him, although Bagpuss is after our time Wink

Ali, I love John Martyn, that must have been a great show Smile

Nanatoo, I was having a good old rummage round on the net earlier and found the book. I was in two minds - I still have some birthday money left - so I think I shall treat myself.

The only decent impression I can do is of Ivor the Engine Embarassed but technically speaking he should have been Ifor not Ivor as there is no letter "V" in the Welsh language.
Nanatoo

You can borrow ours if you like, I'll send it with the other book. I can imagine you - "Shish-ta-coof, shish-ta-coof!" I think that's what Ivor says Wink
Aknita

That's really nice of you - thanks Very Happy

You're making me feel old now - I went to see John Martyn at the Student Centre 30 years ago! Can't remember much about it, but I've always wanted to see him again.
I always found Noggin the Nog a bit scary or something , but HAD to watch it. Actually I think it was Oliver Postgates voice.Didn't he do Pogle's Wood too?
Parp porp poople poop!- I love reading the Ivor the Engine books outloud.

Nanatoo and mogie - he was absolutely superb Cool . It was the first time I'd seen him but Mr Pictish saw him about 25 years ago. We got a bit of a shock cos he was in a wheelchair Shocked think he's been quite ill - led a wild life I think Wink - but he was utterly electrifying. What an amazing voice and extraordinary guitar playing.

Wouldn't it be nice if we could play music on here Laughing
Nanatoo

Ooh, poor man. Yes, I think he's lived a wild life alright.

You can play music on here Ali Very Happy
