J C Brett Pure Merino DKThink I have said how gorgeous this is somewhere else but thought I'd put a proper note here  It is very like the Sublime Extra Fine Merino DK - very springy - but is less silky and more velvety. The stitch definition is really good and I'm very pleased indeed with how this is knitting up. It is really lovely to knit with. AND Debs is going to be selling it in her ebay shop very soon  It works out quite a bit cheaper than the Sublime - £2.75 a ball (hope that's right Debs) compared to £3.50 - £3.70 depending where you go - and is exactly the same tension.

I tried this out for myself today and knitted a tension swatch. Yummy!
I know I'm going to be stocking this in my eBay shop soon so I'm a bit biased, but it's gorgeous stuff, very buttery, and slides along the rosewoods a treat.
I'm off to look for something to knit in it now.....

Mmm, I'm pretty sure I'm going to want some of that. I love all the Sublime patterns but might want to do something a little cheaper.

Now I've had a look I think I shall have some of the green please Debs. I'm looking at the Sublime pattern book and the yardage there is 127 yds and I'd need 10 for a jumper, how does the Merino DK yardage compare?

Sublime is 116m and the Bretts 124m so you will maybe need a bit less Nanatoo .

Claire you make me giggle! I found that shade card sooo difficult to photograph properly.... I'll be putting up all the colours properly when I order the yarn in as then I can take piccies of the actual yarn itself. There's no hurry for anyone to place an order this week or next - I order from Bretts on a monthly basis for yarn for my eBay shop, so I can order as and when. I've had an account with them for years, so it's not going to be an offer that will end anytime soon
There isn't a 4 ply equivalent as yet - but Bretts do bring out yarns during the season so there might be one in the pipeline.
i'll see what I can do about the current piccie, but I can't promise anything amazing....
