Inventive November
These should be my November entry. I was flicking through Nancy Bush's KOTR and was taken with the Whitby pattern. The only trouble was that with 51 st the leg wouldn't have been wide enough to go over my heel; so after a bit of doodling and experimentation I decided to add another column to the width of the leg (well two actually on on each needle as I';m making them in the circ) and so came up with these. I only intend to do the cabling on the leg and make the foot in stocking stich. Progress has been slow but as I'm away to Harrogate this coming weekend I will have lots of travelling time to work on them. I had some Trekking XXL in my stash thatI think I bought from Button some time last year so it got an airing!

These are pretty.
It sounds like the resizing is going well too, very smart knitting!

Great job with the mods! I've just finished Whitbys for hubby, and absolutely loved knitting them. I'm just waiting to pin him down for modelling duties....

I did this on my first sock, and it really wasn't as bad as I thought it would be to fix; although saying that, it did take me 2 attempts!
All it really needed was a few glasses of wine. Oh, and a couple of tools from my notions bag!

That is lovely. Whitby is on my to do list but I was trying to work out how to make them wider.

Well, if it hadn't been for my trip to Harrogate I doubt I'd have got these finished. I've got a photo problem at the minute so this is the best of the bunch I'm afraid. I didn't carry the patterning on down the top of the foot as I find a cable sometimes uncomfortable.
Done in Trekking XXL on 2.5 circs. Looking for a December pair now!
