I think I got it

My first attempts at dyeing fibre a few months ago was less than successful. I oculd spin from the fibe but it did felt.

However, I think I've cracked it now. I've dyed some merino/silk which I'm plying with some of n's merino/silk fibre. Here is a finished skein. Got more to spin and ply. Should have about 200gr in the end. The blue singles is mine.

Last few days i've been dyeing some merion pencil roving.

Here's the first one I dyed which I kept for myself

and here is the singles I'm spining from it

Here is anothe 200gr skein of pencil roving which will be listed on Etsy soon:

Here are some strips of merino fibre which I dyed yesterday. They were jsust experiments and I may spin them all together into one skein.

Just love the delicate colours.

Got lots more fibre to dye. But on a dyeing break now as our kitchen will be out of action. Having a new kitchen fitted next week. Starting ripping the old one out tomorrow. I'm going to have a workstatino set up in the garage now as I'm not letting my dyes come any way near the new kitchen. But dyeing won't recommence til afte the kitchen is done. As the garage will be storing the new and possibly old kitchen for the next few days.
