I need help finding a yarn ......

I looking for a yarn to knit a jumper for my DP cant find it online to show u all sorry. But the patterns in Donegal Tweed Sirdar DK 20 st guage.

I cant find a yarn that he would wear & that i can stand to knit HELP

What he wants is a speckly yarn he wants BLACK but im thinking too dark so something with flecks in it or colour ??

Maybe Denim Tweed but the colour he likes best is vintage (black) sigh

I just keep going round in circles with this Sad its also got to be machine washable too.

Any ideas people ??

You can still get the Sirdar Donegal occasionally on ebay Rosie tho not seen it in a dark shade Confused It's machine wash I'm sure. Can't think of anything else at that guage tho that is flecked and machine wash. Debs might know!!

Hmmmm, i found some nice "superwash" wools when i was looking for the red aran weight, there should be some links in one of my posts, i'll go see if i can find it Wink

edit:
I did find it Very Happy
It's on this website - Dragon Yarns
I can't link to the right page cos it's done with javascript but if you go to "wool" then "all natural yarns" then scroll down there's a couple on that page Very Happy

Hope this helps x
Auntie Noo

I did indeed knit a CPH with Donegal - your memories are amazing ladies!  It's lovely wool but not incredibly warm.

I can think of some nice superwash yarns but none with flecking in!

Are you on ravelry? Maybe it'd be worth looking at a pattern like CPH (Central Park Hoodie) if it's the same tension and seeing what people have subbed, as it's such a popular pattern there a likely to be hundreds of variations out there.  Sorry can't help more.
