How to Add a Picture to a PostI thought this should have its own thread so it's easy to find.
As others have already said you need first to upload the picture to a picture hosting service. I use photobucket but there are others (recommendations welcome) You need to register but it is free.
Each service has it's own way of doing things, but when you have uploaded the picture you need to find the URL it has been allocated.
In Photobucket it gives you the whole [IMG] tag that you need ready to copy and paste into your post.
With others you need to find the URL and embed it in [IMG] tags.
At the top of the post there is an Img button you can use to do that. Click on the button to give you the opening tag, paste the picture URL and then click on the button again to close the tag.
It will look like
[IMG] http:// www . something . jpg [/IMG]
but with no spaces.
Photobucket also provides the ability to resize pictures for different purposes. At the top of each picture is an edit option which brings up a page and one of the features there is a resize option. Selecting the message board size should make it the right size for posting so it doesn't make the post scroll horizontally. (It didn't work for one of mine!) and there is an avatar option too.

Just to add...Webshots has also significantly imroved in past months and you can now easily see where the url for the picture is when you upload it, or just by clicking 'Link To It'! You will not need to add any img tags to the url as they are already embedded within it!
