How do you....

keep your work on the hook when you aren't working on it?! I've managed so far but I can just see the loop dropping off and all my crochet unravelling Confused

I usually just pull the loop through to make it really big - you can pull it back in again when you pick up your crochet again. It shouldn't unravel if you do this Very Happy

Ah - good plan! I'm new to this crocheting lark Smile Was doing my little scarf on the way to work (OH's turn to drive). Managed 4 rows in 25 miles haha!

In the days when I tried crochet, I tied a little piece of contrast yarn into my loop (like a little slip knot) to stop it from uncrocheting itself.
It seemed to work Very Happy

I pop a largish split stitch marker through the loop.

I do the stitch marker thing too....I like the lobster claw style and tend to use those more in crochet.
