Help

I am making the star afgan as Sam has demanded one, I have done quite a bit, but I want to stop it being a star and make it a hexagon now, I think it will be a bit better for him. If it is not possible I will carry on with the start thing, but if it is possible how on earth would I do it.
thanks

The only way I can think of it to fill in each point with groups of say 3 trebles - starting with one group - slp stitching to each side of the point turning and doing 2 or 3 in next row and continue unitl you reach to top of the point - then carry on in rounds as a hexagon - hope this makes sense - someone may have a better idea Very Happy

Thanks a lot, that does make sense, I will see how I get on, Sam has just said it must be a star like him, so as it is his it may have to stay a star unless I can convince him otherwise, lol

I will post a WIP later on but I should warn you he chose the colours and the order of them all by himself

I did warn you about the colours, lol, he adores it and that is all that matters, at least it will never get lost, I have another few weeks of work on it I think, and another great set of coloured yarns, but that lot has only taken me since thursday night.

Wow that looks great, I wish I could crochet, everything I've tried to do past adding a edge of stitches to something ends up a yukky mess

Chrissy that looks fabulous!!!! - I've just started a sock yarn blanket for my sister's bump - but now I've seen that I want to do one of those too! - I'm finding it a very throw/blanket/shawl time right now - everything I want to make is something to snuggle in!!!
chrissy

thanks I am really enjoying doing it, it is a great crochet item and so far very quick.

Its looking good chrissy, maybe you could leave it at that if hes happy with it and do a hexagon as well. The problem with me doing the rainbow is I had to put all 6 colours in, by the time I was halfway through the yellow I was loosing the urge to finish it.

I like the star blanket. You have a very clever son! And what wonderful taste in colours!
