HELP!!I'm crocheting a beanie hat with a brim, and need a bit of help with the pattern. It's too late to ring mum.
It's done in rounds, obviously, but I'm not sure what this bit means.

Is it not in the c1 you first did?? and then in each C1 you do as you go round?

Ch1 - make one chain (this will count as your first half treble or htr)
HTR in same st - Usually means make a htr in the first chain of the row/round by going into the V of the first stitch from the round below.
HTR in each st round - Work one htr in each stitch around
