Heartstrings Colourful Splendour (Finished)

Finally, I found the moment to cast on another lace project - this time it's Heartrsings Colourful Splendour Lace Scarf.

http://www.heartstringsfiberarts.com/h41.shtm

I am using some left over pink merino lace weight which is lovely to knit with. I just wanted to start something small that could be finished quickly as a gift for a friends birthday Smile

Gorgeous Jo...you really are into this lace malarkey aren't you...I'm not sure if it is for me...I haven't done alot on my lacy scarf as the pattern annoyed me! Laughing I will get it finished though! Smile
craftybernie

murdo

Gorgeous...where can you get the pattern in the UK?
ChattyJo

I got mine from The Woolly Workshop. Haven't seen it else where yet.
murdo

I love it...but now I've seen more I like on Gill's site...deadly!!
ChattyJo

At last some progress on this. I had to give up working from the written instructions and use the chart as there is a shift in the stitch markers half way through the 24 row repeat and I kept ending up with one stitch less - it might be an error but, hey, the chart works so I am not stressing about it.

Anyway, here is my progress so far - 3 more pattern repeats to go.
Glynis

Oh, that really is beautiful! How much yarn will it have taken?
ChattyJo

Hurrah. It's done. I have finished the knitting - will try and block it this evening. I used one ball of 25g Heirloom Merino Lace so it is quite economical to knit.

Blossom

That looks great Jo...looking forward to seeing it blocked...that yarn really is economical! Smile
Glynis

Goodness, that really is economical!
It looks wonderful and I'm looking forward to seeing it after blocking. Smile
ChattyJo

Ok, here goes. Blocked last night and it is lovely. The blocking wires were superb and make the edges and corners so even and saved quite so much pinning and measuring. I just love seeing how lace is transformed after blocking!

cazzie

Wow - that is beautiful Very Happy
janice

Oh wow that is beautiful Very Happy I too love the transformation of blocking Very Happy
craftylady

That's so beautiful Jo. It takes a lot of imagination to "see" the finished article before blocking doesn't it. I love it when I've blocked some lace.
daisydap

stunning
Jobo

Nevisknitter

jacquie

Really lovely - never cease to be amazed by what blocking does to lace!
