Having a 60's day

Here I am (supposed to be working!!!) with ITunes open, listening to "Needles and Pins" by the Searchers, and singing my little heart out!

in the mix also I have Itchygoo Park, California Dreamin, and Lola!!!!!!

Be happy you're not my neighbours!!!
jacquie

What fun!

We (the parents) are not allowed to play our music out loud because our kids don't like it. Sometimes I wonder who is in charge here Rolling Eyes
Auntie Noo

Jacquie that's awful! I grew up listening to my parents music (played downstairs) all the time, and it's had such a huge influence on what I listen to now! - I would have missed out on some real treasures (and a HUGE Eric Clapton crush) if I had only listened to myown choices - which I generally only played in my own room!
Catknit

I had Cat Stevens greatest hits on today(courtesy of a swap with Murdo)
It was like having an old friend return-ex husband snaffled most of the music Sad when he left

Good choices Noo, California Dreaming is one of my all time faves! Very Happy

Aknita

I love 60's stuff - of course it was what was going on while I was a child - I LOVED the Small Faces and the Stones - but most of all ( surprise ) The Who!

The brain is a wonderful organ. I couldn't remember what I went upstairs for earlier today but remember every word of songs I sometimes haven't heard for 20 odd years! Shocked
Pink Bubbly

Oh yes 60's music... And the memories associated with it!
Purplegem

My favourite album for 60's records is called Sunny Afternoons, a double album - I absolutely murder it - play it once if not several times a week, I never get bored of the songs (can't speak for anyone else at home tho!)
Auntie Noo

That sounds a good one Purplegem! - I have the greatest hits of the 60's which is three cd's for each of the years 1956 to 1963 (i think) so if it ain't on there then it wasn't worth listening to!!! - I love it, and it's great to get your mood up!!!!!
