i bought a ticket last year for my hubby to go see them as he is usually up north in the middle of the week i thought it was a great opportunity, as it turned out he was sent over to belgium instead, we found out a couple of weeks before hand that this would be happeneing so i sold the ticket on ebay, i got 3 times the amount that i payed for it and had a lovley message off the buyer afterwards that it was a great seat and she had really enjoyed the concert too.
hope you have a great time

I so want to see Bryan Adams in concert He played Milton Keynes once when we lived up the road, but I never went. The next gig he played at Wembley I would have been eight and a half months pregnant by the time we went to the concert, and so I decided not to go on account of I didn't want Matt born at Wembley Stadium!
So Bryan if you're reading this - Walker Stadium in Leicester??
Aknita
Oh Debs I went to see Frankie Goes to Hollywood when I was eight months pregnant with Lizz! I felt a bit conspicuous mind, iyswim!!!!!!

Hubby saw um, when they were young wipper snappers in the 70s.

Now that would have been amazing..Keith Moon still drummer then?
Aknita
I saw them first at the Oval Cricket Ground of all places, 1971 I think it was, at an all-day festival, a very young Rod Stewart was there too, Maggie May had just come out, then in about 1974 at Hammersmith Odeon, Keith was very much there - what an extrovert, he certainly put his all into everything he did ( understatement of the year!!!! ) I saw them again around 75/76 at a Festival at the Vetch Field in Swansea, with another of my old favourite, Family - wonderful gravelly voice Roger Chapam, and Jeff Beck on the line up too. Nineteen years since Keith died
I feel a nostalgic evening coming on!

DS2 who is never ever ill apart from the occasional asthma flare-up has been snuggled under the poorly blanket all evening pyrexial and lethargic and feeling very poorly
He says NOTHING will make him miss this gig but he's a bit grim this evening.
Aknita
I have a proper poorly boy this morning - he couldn't get up for his paper round and is in bed, most definitely not in school. He has a temperature still, the shakes, and is feeling very light headed and wobbly. He's all dosed up mind .
It's SUCH a ^%^£%^£%^ - he has been looking forward to this for ages I am not making any decisions about his going till the very last minute.

Sending Get well vibes to him - it would be such a shame if he had to miss it!

Well DS made it - thanks for the good vibes We had a fab time and Jackie and I managed to say hello which was lovely. Jackie, I hope you both enjoyed it as much as we both did
jacquie
So glad DS recovered enough to go and you had a great time!
murdo

It was WONDERFUL. I think they have the best audience-interaction of any band. I felt so happy I couldnt stop grinning. Aknita is being very modest...she talked me through where she was in the hall by mobile....me being a bit deal and a lot slow...meant she had to get her whole row to wave before I saw them
I will try to see the Who again at every opportunity!!!
Aknita
It was so funny - I could see Jackie in her pink T with phone in hand and I'm standing in my white shirt waving shouting in my phone "I'm up here" then DS stars waving then the people next to me...............
Well it was fun getting out of the car park but a good journey home afterwards. So glad you enjoyed it Jackie - The Who are still the loudest band around - Maximum R&B!!!!!!

This has so made me laugh.........visions of half an audience pointing in a direction whilst 100 odd people dance up and down waving.......too funny.
GLad you all had a good time, you can't beat the "old timers" for giving it everything!

Really pleased that you all had a fantastic time.
Are your ears still ringing?
Joy so pleased that you DS was able to make it, is he back in bed today, I should think he is dead on his feet.
Aknita
Well GS whatever it was he is over it he really was proper poorly yesterday, no energy, dizzy and light headed, temperature etc, and he slept all the way there as well as all the way home too but he got himself up this morning as usual and has done his paper round and gone off to school, so whatever it was it seems to be very short lived. For which I am very grateful!
Mind you. he does try it on. We were queueing for a drink, I asked what he'd like, "Could I have a Smirnoff Ice please?"................ he had a bottle of water !
Nanatoo

Thank goodness you made it! I'm glad you had a great time, all of you

Excellent - a bottle of water I bet that cost as much as a Smirnoff Ice would have done in the outside world
Glad he is back on his feet, not nice feeling poorly.

I was so disappointed that my camera "died" at the Whoo concert BUT this turned out!! Yippee!!! Look at how close I was. Sounds sad but it meant so much to me going to that concert that I nearly burst into tears when they came on. The Who have been a constant in my life since I was 16...love them. Doesn't Roger look great
