Fyberspates space dyed sockJust pointing this out incase anybody hasn't seen it! Jeni's space dyed sock yarn, details on ravelry here, it's on sale at the moment, so you get 5 100g skeins for £19.99. Space dyed so there isn't vairation in colour really It's really nice yarn, I ordered some which arrived yesterday and its very similar to posh Helena or the yarn yards hug, only its bfl not merino..........
I thought it was a bargain anyway 
You can get dk and aran too! |

I've just been looking too   I have a skein of this from way back but I got it at GK and paid £10 plus postage so this is a bit of a snip. It's nice stuff - quite thick but enough for socks You get 5 patterns as well!!!

It does feel nice. I got some aran to make Sharfiks for christmas presents, and some dk for little cardi's for my nieces, all pretty cheap at the moment too. I wonder if she's going to discontinue some of it

I think so. I think it's stuff she's had for a long time and isn't current any more - certainly the sock wool. I was thinking the aran would be nice for Mr Greenjeans or a FLS but there's only the red/plum left now and I was thinking of a greeny one but that's all gone - I think it's going fast now!!

It's unicorn clue day,, so people will be buying now while they can get the 10% discount Its cheap without the discount even though!
It maybe doesn't sell well because it's not handpainted

Yeah I think that's what it is but the one I have looks like hand dyed and the colours are gorgeous!!!
I got the clue this week no probs (very tempting  )

She must have sold out of one of the colourways then cos she was doing 6 skeins for £25 a while ago wasn't she?
I have seen this knitted up and it is lovely and thick and woolly

Ah, this explains the "You get 5 hanks of 100% bluefaced sock yarn, thats 600gm" bit then, Jeni's obviously amended it from 6 to 5. I looked yesterday, now I've looked again

I have given up even looking at a Posh sale you know. I am sure that as a selling tactic this weekly frenzy works well for Dee and Tony, but for customer satisfaction it's a real downer. I hate seeing a yarn, planning what I might do with it, having it in my basket and then POOFFT! it's gone  It's the single most frustrating way to try to buy yarn ever!
I had one last try last night for one particular skein, but it had gone as soon as it arrived, and I really won't do it again. Posh yarns are wonderful, but if Iever feel the urge for one again it will be via the Cariad route. I'm looking forward to the patterns with these Fyberspates yarns too - they are a real bargain I think. |

I love the yarn tho Joy and I never get attached to it in advance and if I don't win I've saved some money and there's always next week It is pretty stressful tho and it really isn't good for my nerves cos you have to move pretty fast. Last night was crazy!!!! I quite fancied some of the new Martha but no chance

I haven't tried to buy from a posh sale since 2007 I don't think Although recently I have looked at the preview but then been busy at seven and missed the sale
You might have to email to ask for the patterns Joy, nothing comes in with the yarn

Ali, I am the word's worst! I apply for a job, already in my mind I'm working there, I see a yarn, already I'm knitting ith it. There's no hope. The yarns ARE lovely, but equally there are other lovely accessable yarns out there. |

I know, you're right, and I do buy those as well I am just totally unable to resist gorgeous colours in sock yarn. Thank goodness I haven't got into laceweight
