First spinning from fleece.I have been given LOADS of fleece this summer to spin.
This is my first attempt at spinning from fleece.
I got 21 grams, 39 yards 9wpi.
This is what I did with it. I made a small sock using the same stitch count and needles I use for sock key rings. The idea being that if I do this every time I spin I could see an improvement.
Then I framed it with a small skein, 2 bits of the fleece and a label telling me how much I got, when I did it and that it's my first fleece spin.
I am so proud of it.
I was going to hang it in the corner where my wheel lives but hubby says it's an acheivement and has hung it in the centre of the room on the fire place.

Fab idea and lovely spinning. I'd be too intimidated by a whole fleece. Although I could probably get hold of one easily down here in cornwall. sheep everywhere.

What a great idea, and it makes an attractive and different picture as well as being a record of achievement . You are justifiably proud and I think your DH is a star too
