First plying attempt!!Well, I finally got my traveller fixed and up and running, so I had a go at spinning some jacob tops I got from winghams. Then I took the plunge and had my first attempt at plying the jacob together with the copper pot merino I spun the other week. I think it's turned out ok, I have about 50m, so I'm going to knit a little bag in the twisted sister sock book. although I have plenty more jacob and half the copper pot, but I'll save that for another time.

KLB. actually prism is spun with a thin and thicker yarn isn't it? not sure mine is in the same league, but combining the soft merino with the harsher jacob has meant a softer overall yarn than plying the jacob together, cos I'm sure I couldn't wear just jacob.
But I might make a little drawstring back to keep my knitting notions in, as DD has nicked my purple silk one. mind you, she has already claimed this yarn to be her's. quelle surprise.
