Finishing Techniques for Hand KnittersThere are two books with this title at present, this one and this one:
I have book with the red cover and it is an excellent quick reference book. But is the one with the purpley cover the same book but with a different cover and different author? They sound the same, but also sound different iyswim.
Does anyone know out there?

Who are the authors? I have a Hand Knitters Finishing book by Nancy Wiseman...

The red one is by Jane Crowfoot and the purple one by Sharon Brant.
I have emailed rowan directly to ask them as both books were on their website; if it's not the same book then i'm ordering it!

It's probably the book I couldn't do without tbh. Every time I need to do short row shaping, I go running for the book to make sure I'm doing it properly. And I can never remember which ways k2tog and k2tog tbl slant towards when I'm adding them in to a pattern to make a fashioned decrease

I own the top one and have had the bottom one from the library. I don't think they're exactly the same but IIRC, they're VERY similar, not just in content but in style. I wouldn't think you'd need both.

Debs, there are some pics from the inside of the S Brandt one at Knitpicks. Not hugely useful as they're mainly of the patterns at the end but it gives you an idea I guess:

Aha!! Just what I wanted to know Seahorse Claire - it IS a different book then by all accounts, judging by the patterns in the back of the book. Actually, I like a lot of those patterns

I had a reply from rowan saying that the books are different but no explanation as how. I think Seahorse Claire's reply is much better as it tells me what I need to know! Thanks everyone!
